Whistle Blower/ False Claims / Qui Tam

There are huge REWARDS for taking action to expose fraud against the federal government. Under federal law, if you have personal knowledge that an individual, business, city, county or town has provided false information to obtain money from the federal government or to avoid paying money to the federal government, you may file a claim to recover more than TRIPLE the amount of monies defrauded from the government. The individual that comes forward is personally entitled to15% to 30% of any recovered amount plus attorney fees.

If you have personal knowledge that an individual, business, city, county or town has provided false information to obtain money from the government contact us for a FREE claim evaluation.

The Qui Tam Statute, 31 U.S.C. Section 3729 et seq., (also known as Civil False Claims Act, Lincoln's Law, and the Informer's Act), provides the opportunity for a private citizen, often an employee, to sue a corporation or entity that submits fraudulent bills to the federal government.

The United States General Accounting Office estimates that medical fraud and abuse alone approaches $100 billion dollars. Health care providers and pharmaceutical companies who defraud Medicare and Medicaid are just part of the story. Fraudulent practices involve contractors and vendors for many other government agencies, including Defense, NASA, Health and Human Services, Environment, Energy and Education.

We prosecute cases on behalf of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, CFO’s, project managers, engineers, internal auditors, compliance officers, billing coordinators, sales representatives and managers, research and physician assistants and others who take the bold step to become whistleblowers. These lawsuits expose fraud and abuse by private physician management companies, defense contractors, medical billing companies, hospitals, emergency room facilities, private universities, and pharmaceutical companies.

Our practice includes investigation and prosecution of False Claims Act cases in the areas of:

  • Medicare and Medicaid Billing Fraud
  • Pharmaceutical Company Marketing Practices
  • Kickbacks and Illegal Referral Schemes
  • Substandard Patient Care
  • Federal or State program grant diversion
  • Federal or State subsidized loan programs
  • Defense Department Contract Fraud
  • Off-label Drug Promotion

Our experienced whistleblower attorneys have developed relationships with experts and investigators who work with us to evaluate, investigate, and prosecute qui tam lawsuits on behalf of our clients. If you think you might have information of an employer defrauding a state or the Federal government, please contact our experienced False Claim Act attorneys to have your claim evaluated.
