Automotive workers are struggling, but Nissan is growing, just not in Tennessee.

A Jackson, Mississippi newspaper reported that Nissan announced layoffs of 20,000 workers worldwide.  Furthermore, Nissan discontinued production of the Titan pick-up truck in Franklin, Tennessee and two of its SUVs in Canton, Mississippi. However, Nissan is seeing growth in the commercial-vehicle market and will spend $118 million to expand the Canton, Mississippi plant to keep up with their 8 percent growth in the sales of commercial vehicles oversees.
