Elderly Woman Struck by MTA Bus in Nashville, TN

A 72 year old woman is still in critical condition at Vanderbilt Medical Center after being struck by a Nashville MTA bus.  The woman was crossing Charlotte ave in the crosswalk as the bus was turning onto Charlotte from 4th ave.  It was unclear at the time of the accident what color the lights were and if the signals were indicating that it was safe to cross the street.
Neighbors said that the woman regularly walked to the store from her James Robertson apartment.
