The economy is affecting Tennessee workers in Nashville and Lebanon area. These are rough times. It is reported that recent Dell layoffs have affected Nashville and Lebanon Dell employees. Many hard working Tennesseans are losing their jobs. Times are especially tough on those hard working Tennesseans who have lost their jobs and who have experienced on the job injuries in the past.
A Tennessee worker who has been injured on the job in the past five years knows that recovery was limited by the changes in the Tennessee Workers Compensation Laws that took place in 2004. Injured Dell workers and others who have experienced work injuries in the past and have recently lost their jobs may be entitled to additional workers' compensation benefits.
The Tennessean Newspaper reports that a spokesman for Dell has stated Dell is being very aggressive to reduce cost and has announced that they would continue layoffs. Last month Dell reportedly stopped making computers in Lebanon and the spokesman for Dell has not offered any comment on the future plans for the Lebanon facility.
