MTA Bus Hits Elderly Woman in Crosswalk, Nashville, TN.

An elderly woman was injured when she was hit by an MTA bus while crossing the street in Nashville, TN.
The 72 year old suffered serious head trauma and remains hospitalized in critical condition at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
The MTA bus was turning onto Charlotte ave from 4th ave struck her at that intersection.
Neighbors say that the woman could be seen walking to the store on a regular basis from her home at the James Robertson apartments.
It was unclear at the time what color the lights were when the woman was hit and if the bus driver ran light.  The driver has been placed on routine leave pending an investigation.
Vanderbilt has been attempting to contact the family of the woman.
