The Second wrong way crash in two days on Nashville roadways has occurred. This one was on northbound I-65 at mile marker 94,between Old Hickory Boulevard and Vietnam Veterans Boulevard. This tragedy claimed the lives of two people.
The accident happened around 2 a.m. on March 26, 2009. News Channel 5 reports, that Goodlettsville police received a call that a vehicle was traveling the wrong way on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard.
WSMV News Channel 4 reported, that according to officers with Metro Police, a SUV was traveling south on the northbound side of Vietnam Veterans Parkway around 2 a.m. The vehicle then entered I-65 via the on-ramp - putting the vehicle heading south on I-65 north. The vehicle then collided with a sedan.
There was one occupant in each vehicle and both lost their lives. It was not reported whether or not alcohol may have played a part.
