Wilson County TN Man Killed In Motorcycle Accident

Bruce J. Holloway, 49, of Mt. Juliet, was killed in an accident in which his motorcycle was struck by a Dodge Dakota pickup.  The Truck was being driven by Brian Jason Duffey also of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.  The fatal motorcycle accident occurred about 6:45 p.m., Friday April 17, 2009 on Stewarts Ferry Pike in Wilson County, TN.

According to the Wilson Post, the accident report filed by Trooper Raymond Gaskill of the Tennessee High Patrol the pickup was traveling east on Stewarts Ferry Pike and allegedly passed several vehicles on double yellow lines before striking Holloway's motorcycle, who was operating a 2005 Yamaha XVA motorcycle was turning into a driveway.

The motorcycle was sitting still when it was struck, by the truck the trooper said.  The accident report also reported that Holloway was wearing a helmet.

Charges of vehicular homicide have been filed against Duffey, who was not injured in the deadly accident.

Trooper Gaskill noted in his report that alcohol was believed to be involved on the part of Duffey and a blood alcohol test was requested.
